Le Corbu lite

"It is only the modern that ever becomes old-fashioned."

Just plain silly.

  1. I've seen that house, it's in the Larchmont area. I call it the 'house of a thousand windows'. I guess it's a builder's special where the contractor either used all of the spare windows he collected over the years, or cleaned out a shop of the rejects and spares they had.

  2. at least it has its own personality and style... it's a marker of the time in which it was built... better than a faux tuscan or mcmansion

  3. I'm pretty sure I've been in this house, it (or something a lot like it) was up for sale when we were house shopping. It's on... Arden? Something like that. It's just so utterly and insanely out of character with the neighborhood. And yes, the inside is just as bad. We knew there was no way we'd consider buying it the moment we clapped eyes on the outside, but we went in anyway, just because we had to see.

  4. It's on Arden http://su.pr/1mEqRN, and its a complete mess. The question is: how do you fix it so that it is appropriate for the neighborhood. It might have to be a complete teardown.
